Picture Book: The Happy Frame (unpublished)

In June 2019, a political crisis began in my home Hong Kong, leaving many people in fear and sorrow. The situation led me into seeking answers on how people could live a happier life despite all the sad things happening around them. This desire led me into developing the story.

 

The Happy Frame is a story about a village with a little sunshine and a lot of weeping willows. When the rain drips off the branches of the weeping willows, it looks like tears. Everyone in the village looks unhappy. A little girl’s discovery of a magical frame, which can transform whoever goes through it from sad to happy, brings tremendous joy to the entire village.
